How to change the home page animated slider images with M Theater

M Theater gives you the option of displaying an animated slider of ‘sticky’ posts on your home page. So what are ‘sticky’ posts? ‘Sticky’ posts stay at the top of your archive displays, regardless of the date of newer posts.

To add new images into the home page slider rotation:

Write a new post. Do this by:

  1. Log in to your Administration Panel.
  2. Click the ‘Posts’ tab.
  3. Click the ‘Add New’ sub-tab.
  4. Enter your post title in the upper field, and optionally add text content in the main post editing box.
  5. Add an image by clicking the ‘Add Media’ button just above the content edit area (If this is a gallery or multi-image post, the last image will automatically be selected as the slider image).
  6. Make the post ‘sticky’ by choosing the option under the Publish area (See screenshot example below).
  7. When you’re done, click the blue ‘Publish’ button.

To delete images from home page slider rotation:

  1. Log in to your Administration Panel.
  2. Click the ‘Posts’ tab.
  3. Search for the post containing the slider image you want to remove.
  4. Click ‘Edit.’
  5. Uncheck ‘Stick this post to the front page’ under the Publish area, where it says ‘Visibility.’
  6. Click the blue ‘Update’ button.
  7. The image attached to that post will no longer appear in the home page slider animation.
  8. NOTE: It’s never advisable to delete posts that have been published, for SEO reasons.
